They built things, they advised other agencies how to procure and buy things, they did a lot on principles and open source and really saved the US government a lot of money, probably made things more efficient, almost like a department for....
Anyway, they've been axed by 'that department'. I used and referred to a lot of their guides an things, especially the De-risking government technology guide which is useful whether you are in government or not. Thankfully they've managed to save all the resources and move them to a mirror site. You can find that site below
